The COUNTA function is capable of tallying both text and numeric items. The "A" in COUNTA stands for "All," indicating its inclusiveness. This distinguishes it from the COUNT function, which solely counts numeric values.
With COUNTA you can count all items in a Range with COUNTA, both Text and Numbers.
The syntax for COUNTA is: =COUNTA(value1,[value2],[value3]…)
